The Bar Tops haven't gone too bad. Denton saw me introduce Grace Holden to the world. 3 nice flowers that took a first place If I say so myself they were not far short of been the best vase. This was taken by Len Whitehouse with some immaculate Peach Wingfields.The following night I judged at Dukinfield, they always put on an excellent buffet, and again the same vase won best in show. Barry Bickerdyke had a super vase of Joyce Freida for this time of year.Normally after August it shows its intermediate tendencies.

Last week it was the turn of Oldham and again I put a vase of Grace Holden in and got another first.It looks as if they are struggling as there was only 4 people from the
Society at the bar top.

Wednesday saw me at Scunthorpe Bar Top with 20 flowers some of mine some of Lens and some of Roger Moores plus an entry in the league. A very good night but Graces winning run came to an end.She was beaten by another vase of Lens Wingfield

Tonight I am going to Hull for their Bar Top.
All the flowers are obviously in the 2 greenhouses. I have suffered a lot of damping on my Tandies and have been pulling petals out by the ton. The Trident are suffering the same fate. The Kay Woolmans have nearly finished so I am going to be struggling for the later shows.
