July is always the start of what I call 'Starting to grow them properly!'
I have started to feed Kay Woolman, Grace Holden, Yellow Kay Woolman, Masons Bronze, David MacNamara, Bill Holden and Olwyn.
I have top dressed Grace Holden and taken Masons Bronze down to 11. Olwyn down to 3, Grace Holden to 4, Trident to 2, David MacNamara to 4 and Roy Coopland to 4.
If I say so myself, the plants are looking as good as I have grown. However, from talking to other growers they seem to be the same. So far, touch wood, I have had no problems with snails or slugs.
Every week from now I will put a couple of photos on showing the development of Yellow John Wingfield and Grace Holden.
