I have finished potting up and have now got them all lined out. They all have two canes inserted in each pot and these are attached to the straining wire by Vee clips. I have counted and I have 33 earlies and 89 late. The earlies comprise of 24 Wingfields 6 different colours, 2 Joyce Freida, 5 Liverpool Festival and 2 Grace Holden to be grown obviously as earlies. The Wingfields are aimed at the North West Counties.

I have also started feeding some i.e. Trident 2 Shirley Sunburst and 6 Grace Holden.
To indicate which I am feeding I put the label in the right hand side of the pot with the non fed in the left hand side.
I am using 3 different types of feed. For Trident I feed once a week with a mixture of 8 parts Vitax Q4 1 part Sulphate of Ammonia and 1 part Ammonia Nitrate ( this is Ivor Maces Feed )The Roy Cooplands are getting Miraclegrow as suggested by Steve Joyce whilst the rest get a 1/3 strength of Chempak 20-20-20 at every watering. It is mixed in a 16 gallon dustbin using 10scoops of the spoon that is in the box.

Every night I now go around the plants and any that look as they want water I put a label in the front of the pot for the following morning.
I have top dressed the Wingfields and continued to tie them.
I sprayed with Amistar last night and tonight I will spray with Decis.
