John Peace sent his un rooted cuttings which I received on Tuesday. Excellent stuff and I have put 200 earlies in to root. I just hope they make decent plants for Harrogate. We have now accumulated in excess of 2200 so hopefully that will be enough.
Prior to going down to Bournemouth on Friday night all the plants were given a good drink. The hotel and the food were excellent, and if you get chance to go to next years AGM ,which is again at Bournemouth, I would highly recommend it. For the first time for a number of years there was a vote for the executive with Paul Barlow, Barry Hogg, Frankie Charlton, Mike Higgins & Martin Bryans were elected with Ann Brooke & Jon Wheatley missed out.
Ivor Mace brought up the matter of prize money at the national shows, but the powers that be are totally against it and therefore it didn't get very far.
Yesterday I took to my bed for the day with a feeling of flu coming on, so Trish watered what was necessary. Today I potted up into 3 and a halves on the remaining Roy Coopland which only leaves Woolman Venture. I also knocked out the plants that where potted up on the 2nd of February, and tomorrow I will probably pot them into 5 inch. I have put the pots into soak and preparation.
