29th January 2009
Not a lot going on at the moment. I took another 35 cuttings on Monday so next Monday I will take the last of the Lates.
I have taken the first lot that I took on 5/1/09 off the soil heating cable. They are cooling down in readiness for the 31/2" next Monday.
I still haven't emptied all my 81/2" from last year yet I did another twenty yesterday only 40 more to go. I have sieved quite a lot of the soil from last year and will use it in the mix for the plants that I am doing for Harrogate in April.
I ordered the Chrysanthemum final potting soil from Singletons yesterday so I am just awaiting the call from them with a delivery date. I ordered 84 bags from them, along with other things for the Society and when you consider that a bag does 13 pots there will be a lot of Chrysants grown this year.
The next Northern Goup event is an all day do at Ossett on Sunday 8th Feb amongst the speakers are John Nevill and Vinnie Aldred. The tickets are £10 and include a roast lunch.
