1st March 2010
Today Monday was the first day that we have seen the sun for a long time and the temperature was up to 70 in the greenhouse.
The plants were flagging but I have not watered them as i will see what they are like tomorrow. 3.00 o clock in the afternoon and it has just started sleeting!!!
I have just potted up the following
6 Kay Woolman
1 John Hughes
5 Primrose John Hughes
2 Rose Pat Millar
4 Cerise Pat Millar
5 Amber Olwyn
9 Woolmans Venture
3 Grace Holden
I have taken off the cable, cuttings that I took on Feb 1st in readiness for potting them on next Monday.
At the North West Counties AGM last Wednesday I picked 10 Roy Coopland to distribute to Sowerby Bridge members as well as my Wingfields from Barry Bickerdyke. Barry does them for me instead of paying me for judging their bar top show in October.
On Friday I went down to Denton to pick up my chrysanthemum soil that had been delivered by Singletons. It is made specifically for chrsants and is good stuff.
I start my spraying programme against white rust this Wednesday by spraying with Roseclear.
This Wednesday is also the AGM of the Sowerby Bridge Society so I will hopefully distribute some cuttings to the members.
Saturday will find me at Horbury for the AGM of the Northern Group
