Last of the cuttings taken today apart from an odd Primrose Charles Tandy and Roy Coopland.I have taken just short of 300. Touch wood at the moment I have not lost any. The first lot have probably rooted but I will leave them for another two weeks just to make sure. I will take them off the cable on Saturday and give them a spray with grow slow just to keep them short.

Saturdays Northern Group event at Scunthorpe went okay with over 70 people in attendance. There was a slight problem with the sound system so hearing Ron was difficult at times but we got the gist of what he was saying. We unfortunately got stuck on the motorway coming back with a car catching fire so what should have taken us 1 & 1/4 hours took us 2 & 3/4 hours.

I finished washing my large clay pots this week so I am raring to go.
I have applied to the council for a small grant ( £ 120 ) so that I can advertise in the local paper in a last ditch attempt to get some new member and growers. We live in hope.

Trish and I are off to Portugal next week so Roger is popping over just to keep an eye on things so there will be no diary next week.
