Last Wednesday i went to the NWCCS meeting and as it is 50 years since the Society Leagues were held on behalf of the RBS it was decided to offer a 1st prize of £100 for both the early and late show League. At the meeting Len Whitehouse announced that Ian Payne (everything to do with Oldaham and Chadderton had died the previous Monday) He was a real nice man and will be sorely missed.

The cuttings that i put in 12 days ago will soon be rooted so today i mixed the soil for the 31/2 pots The mix can be seen from the photo and is Wallace Brooks formula.It will do 120 pots.More cuttings are ready to be taken so i will take them on Wednesday.It means that some varieties i have what i want so i will be giving the stools to John Swift whose own stools are a little shy this year.
