Here we go again. It all starts all from now. I have just cut the last of the flowers down and am know getting ready for 2008.
The photos show the set up that i use for getting the cuttings.


Firstly I made a box with deepish sides I then cut up a black plastic bag and put that in the bottom. On top of that i then put a layer of moist river sand. The soil heating cable goes on next,this has already been plugged in so that it is more pliable to use.On top of this goes another layer of moist river sand.
Finally i put on another plastic bag, this hopefully keeps the soil moist and the heat evenly spread.





As can be seen from the picture of the stools the soil has been knocked off them and i put 3 in a 81/2 pot which is then put on the top of the cable to encourage new growth.
I tend to use a lot of crocks with the mixture been 1/2 soiless and 1/2 last year chrysants compost with a touch of John Innes base mixed in.
Give them a good water and wait for the results.
