Both soil heating cables are up and running with a mixture of stools in pots and cuttings on them. Last week and today i have taken a total of 96 cuttings. I am looking for a total of 233 to put into 31/2 pots plus 40 earlies. I have also taken 5 varieties of 3 for my attempt at hydridising. They are being rooted in last years compost with nothing added.
I have just finished washing some more 81/2 only a dozen more to do.
On Monday i went up to the allotment to dig up some earlies so that i could get some cuttings going for the Northern Group stall at Harrogate. I dug up Millenium Cornetto and Billy Bell so we will see what happens.
Tonight is the NWCCS meeting at Heywood.
