The Bar Top was a success in terms of flowers.It was the best number for many years however there was only 30 people there to take advantage of the Pie and Peas and Quizes.Perhaps its time to take stock and decide whether it is worth the effort.
On a more positive note my first cut of Woolmans Venture got me 1st and 2nd in the reflex class.I also took 1st and 2nd in the Anenome class.
I judged Leeds Paxton on Saturday and gave Peter Fawcett the Best Vase with a vase of Woolmans Glory with the best exhibit going to Terry Wombell.
Todays Wednesday and after writing this I am going to make a start on clearing out the greenhouses in preparation for the stools that have been left outside in an attempt to vernalise them.
Saturday is the day when Ian Moss divulges all his secrets. He will be at Lowton Civic Hall from 1.30 to 5.30.Its a North West Counties event sponsored by the Northern Group.The post code is WA32AH for your sat navs and there are still a few tickets left at £4 each.The tickets include a plated buffet.
