30th July 2007

This shows a pot that needs attention before it goes into the greenhouse. It's mucky. Always check the drainage hole to make sure that there are no slugs hiding in it.

a, Jeyes Fluid - I put a drop into a 2 gallon bucket before I wash the pot.
b, Potash - I put a level teaspoon into each pot. It helps to ripen the stem and hopefully stops damping.
c, Glucose - I put 3 heaped teaspoons into a 1 gallon watering can, this is watered in with the potash and puts a gloss on the petals.

this is Joyce Frieda one week on.
